If you live in Sunset Park Santa Monica, you should check out this calendar that I get on a regular basis – lots of good stuff here for Santa Monica homeowners.

October 29 — “The Phantom of Barnum Hall” — Samohi Band Concert — 7 PM — Barnum Hall (from 4th St., go east on Olympic Drive, turn right into the alley just before the gas station, turn right again into the large north parking lot, walk  south between the classroom building and the softball field, walk west through the grassy quad, and you will find yourself facing Barnum Hall, an example of Streamline-Art Deco design, built in 1938 by the WPA. http://www.smmusd.org/samohi/perfoming_arts/htmls/barnum.htm  More about the Santa Monica High School band program: http://www.samohiband.org/

October 30 – Santa Monica Symphony – 7:30 PM – SM Civic Auditorium – free admission, $8 parking -

November 1 to 11 –The Street Maintenance Division will be resurfacing the 2200 block of Pico Court South alley with asphalt.  (This is the alley south of Pico between 22nd and 23rd Streets.) The city will not enforce “no parking” signs for street cleaning or permits on the 2200 blocks of Pico, 22nd or 23rd during the construction period. November 6 – Pet Fair/Chip-a-thon and Emergency Preparedness Fair — The American Red Cross of Santa Monica, Santa Monica Fire Department, The City of Santa Monica, Santa Monica Organizations Active in Disaster (SMOAID) and the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcLA) are hosting the 2nd Annual Free Pet Fair & Chip-a-thon.” — 9 AM until 3 PM –  Clover Park, 2600 Ocean Park Blvd.
