I’m WestsideDB and I sell homes in Santa Monica California as well as all over the Westside of Los Angeles. Many of the things that I treasure the most about this area are within a short walk or drive to the Westside and today, my evolving series on “365 Things to Do in Santa Monica & the Westside of LA” brings us to an amazing hike in Temescal Canyon.
It’s in the Pacific Palisades (another fabulous place to look for homes for sale) and it’s where Sunset Blvd and Temescal intersect.
You can find free parking along Sunset and Temescal or pay 7 bucks to park a little closer to the trail head. We like to take the kids up there to tire them out – and when they’ve had enough, they ride on our shoulders, tiring us out even more, which you can see as I’m puffing at the end of the hike showing you the dried up waterfall. The waterfall is even more fun during the winter months, as there is usually a bit more run off from the snow in the mountains.
